Flowering & Landscape Plants

Flowering and landscape plant research and projects take into account the most efficient use of Colorado’s limited land and water resources and are directed toward the maintenance of high-quality agricultural, residential, industrial, and natural environments. To meet the broad-based requirements of these objectives, research involves cooperation with other segments of the University, as well as various State, Federal, and Private agencies.

The Arboretum, Perennial Demonstration garden, and the Annual & Perennial Trial gardens determine which plants are best suited for growing in the unique environmental conditions of Colorado and display these plants for public and teaching purposes.  The gardens, along with the CSU Center for the Arts, are free and open to the public any day during daylight hours.
