Ajay Menon is the President and CEO of CSU Strata, where he provides executive leadership and oversight for all operations, subject to the direction of the Board of Trustees. Ajay’s responsibilities include the protection and commercialization of CSU research-based intellectual property. He also directs key services for the CSU System, such as managing non-campus real estate holdings and providing debt financing expertise.
With more than 30 years of academic and administrative experience, Ajay previously served as dean of CSU’s College of Agricultural Sciences and College of Business. He was also Colorado’s first Chief Innovation Officer, helping to establish and lead the Colorado Innovation Network to develop an ecosystem in Colorado that cultivates entrepreneurial and innovative activities. Ajay holds a PhD in Marketing and has served as a consultant to multinational companies on customer satisfaction and loyalty. His research has been published in several prominent journals.
