Our Team

Steve Foster is the Director of Licensing at CSU Strata, leading the team which executes intellectual property licenses for technologies and innovations developed within the CSU System. He collaborates closely with industry executives, faculty, and university leadership to evaluate and commercialize new technologies and drive impact, including revenue creation through licensing.

Steve manages a technology portfolio focused on life science, veterinary science, oncology, and biomedical engineering. He has been instrumental in forming strategic alliances and launching dozens of CSU startup companies based on university technologies. Steve also co-founded and drives the annual innovation symposium, CSU Demo Day. Prior to joining CSU Strata, Steve spent 13 years in research, development, and corporate development at Amgen.

Steve is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and an MBA from California Lutheran University.
