Shannon Heffernan is the Intellectual Property Administrator at CSU Strata, responsible for managing the operational lifecycle of the CSU System’s intellectual property portfolio. She oversees the administrative workflows for the organization’s technologies, critical for ensuring data integrity and consistency across intellectual property docketing, formal correspondence, and record-keeping systems.
With over 20 years of experience in administration and operations, Shannon has standardized and fine-tuned Strata’s Intellectual property operations by developing and implementing workflows, templates, and process improvements. In addition to patent administration, Shannon is an intellectual property paralegal, performing due diligence, managing trademark and creative work portfolios, and supporting organizational initiatives focused on expanding technology transfer engagement beyond STEM disciplines.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
